This is one of the most popular tourist places in Istanbul that is frequented by around three million people every day. It is surrounded by important buildings, synagogues, academic institutions, embassies, and mosques. It has a huge shopping street where you can buy books, pastries, clothes, jewelry items, and artifacts.
It also has theatres, art galleries, pubs, cafes, nightclubs and coffee shops where you can relax and unwind. This one-kilometer long street joins Karakoy to Taksim Square and links the historic city to the modern town.
